Bernie is the founder of Awakened Minds Academy, a family-centered educational and healing platform inspired by her own journey of conscious parenting, relocation, and creating emotional and spiritual safety for her children through nervous-system regulation, emotional literacy, and grounding practices.
Seven years ago, Bernie attended her first transformational retreat in Costa Rica. The experience was so profound that she left her corporate career in California and committed fully to the healing arts. She went on to commute internationally for three years to work at Rythmia Life Advancement Center, supporting guests from around the world in trauma healing, somatic awareness, and integration.

Fernanda Sanchez is a mother, educator, and family systems professional devoted to supporting emotionally intelligent, confident children within modern family life.
With years of experience working alongside international families and high-capacity mothers, Fernanda blends structure, discretion, and emotional intelligence to create environments where children feel safe, seen, and guided with intention.
Her child-centered work focuses on:

During the Raising the Future | Wisdom Keepers retreat, Fernanda will lead the children’s program while also offering professional nanny support. Allowing mothers to fully immerse in their own embodiment experience with peace of mind.

Elder Wisdom Keeper · 45+ Years of Spiritual Mentorship
For over 45 years, Aida has dedicated her life to teaching, guiding, and nurturing families through faith, service, and community leadership. Raised in the church since childhood, she began teaching at St. Elizabeth in Richgrove at just 11 years old, and has continued her ministry through decades of catechism instruction at Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Mary’s.
With more than 3 decades of retreat experience, Aida has both attended and facilitated youth, adult, First Communion, and Confirmation retreats as part of her commitment to ongoing spiritual accreditation through the Catholic Diocese. Her lifelong devotion to mentorship has shaped generations of children, teens, and families.
As a mother of three daughters and a woman who has walked through the same generational patterns that many families face today, Aida carries a profound lived wisdom. Her presence serves as an anchor of protection, prayer, and ancestral remembrance.
At our Mother–Child Embodiment Retreat, Aida joins us as an Elder Wisdom Keeper, offering two sacred circles:
• one devoted to blessing and supporting the mothers,
• and another held for mothers and children together: weaving prayer, storytelling, and intergenerational healing.
Her heart, history, and devotion bring grounding, safety, and spiritual guidance to our community as we raise the next generation with intention, awareness, and love.

Five years ago, Bernie expanded her retreat work into Mexico, deepening her understanding of family healing through community connection, land-based practices, and lineage reconnection.
In the United States, she led the Successful Women’s Entrepreneurship Program and taught Financial Wellness at Casa Esperanza, empowering mothers rebuilding their lives after trauma and instability. She also served as a Creative Arts facilitator within California charter schools in the same year, gaining valuable insight into childhood development, learning styles, and the emotional needs of today’s youth.
After relocating her own family to Mexico to create a more conscious, grounded environment for her children, Bernie saw a global gap: Families need tools, rituals, emotional support, and spiritual protection, together.
